The Changing of the Tides

This story headline [“One billion cans of certified- sustainable tuna heading to supermarket shelves“] recently came across my inbox.  Many large conventional retailers have also started to support sustainable seafood.

A shout-out goes to Greenpeace, who really spearheaded this effort years ago.  As a staunch environmentalist, it is such a relief to see such decisive, substantial action taken in such a short period of time.  Many environmental problems seem to only get worse no matter how hard we fight- and it is so nice when progress is made.  It gives me hope.

One Response to The Changing of the Tides

    Scott,
The success on Greenpeace is due to the solid, no nonsense style of it’s leaders. It is their sincere focus on their goals that have made the world a better place for all. Success for any cause will never be achieved without the strength of leadership and training of the persons responsible for the realizations of goals. A good example to everyone. Kudos to Greenpeace for fighting the forces that be and maintaining their integrity while doing so.
